affordable smartwatch

Meizu, A company that initially started with manufacturing of mp3 players is now all set to launch its first smart watch. While thinking of competing with other brands Meizu eventually started and jumped into smartphone market along with making of accessories. Soon they realized the trend of market and thought of launching an affordable smartwatch in it. It is good to start by saying that the Meizu Mix smartwatch features an analogue display and is soon to be made available in China by October this year.

Generally a smart watch is used to get all those notifications that we get on our phone directly on the watch and be alert all the time by not taking the phone out again and again. There are various other features like bluetooth connectivity, recordings and many more in a smartwatch. So talking about Meizu mix smartwatch, it comes with three styles and two colors. I will post about each style and their estimated prices in the market:

Meizu smartwatchA) The Denim strap: CNY 1000 which is roughly Rs. 10,000.

B) The Leather strap: CNY 1300 which is roughly Rs 13,100.

C) The steel strap: CNY 1500 which is roughly Rs 15,100.

Meizu is not featuring a digital display instead it decided to stick to the mechanical analogue display which has a 42mm case and the innards are protected by a sapphire glass screen at the front.

Here are some of the features it has:

  1. It has a notification LED light.
  2. A vibration mode.
  3. It is waterproof.
  4. It offers Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
  5. For pairing it with your smartphone there must be the Meizu app installed on your phone.
  6. It also supports an accelerometer and gyroscope.
  7. It has a 270mAh battery that the company claims can last up to 240 days (standby time, presumably).

Meizu is thinking of crowdfunding the smartwatch on Chinese a site Taobao, and looks to raise CNY 500,000 (roughly Rs. 50 lakhs) before it begins production. For now there is no information on when the company plans to bring the smartwatch to our Indian markets. But as soon as it is released in the Chinese market we will put up the reviews on our website and hope to get it soon Indian market too. Getting so much in just Rs 10,000 is a good buy.
