It also will issue PAN cards on read time bases using Aadhaar Biometric. This Income Tax Department App will also use Aadhaar`s e-KYC facility. The proposal for this is at its inital stage of consideration, : Minister of State for Finance Snatosh Kumar Gangwar said in a written Reply to Lok Sabha on Friday. Besides, he also said a mobile app for paying taxes online has been developer. The mobile application has the functionality to pay taxes and track refunds. The PAN allotment system of the I-T department is integrated with the Ministry of Corporate Affair`s portal at the time of incorporation of a company. He also added that “A turn around time of 4 hours is prescribed for allotment of PAN applications from MCA portal to PAN services provider NSDL eGov portal. Aadhaar card based e_KYC facility would allow individuals or entities wanting to apply for PAN to verify details such as date of Birth or address by the way of biometric identification using thumb impression. NOTE: So far more then 111 crore Asdhaar numbers have been issued. The UIN is being used for getting new SIM card for opening bank accounts. transfer of subsidies and also for biometric based digital payments under Aadhar Enabled Payment System. Aadhaar-based e-KYC facility would allow individuals or entities wanting to apply for PAN to verify details such as date of birth or address by way of biometric identification using thumb impressions. As per Government estimate, Every year around 2.5 crore people across the country apply for PAN cards and there are more then 25 crore PAN card holders in the country.
